The Staatsoper Hamburg has announced a cast change for its production of “Luisa Miller.”

The company said that Hovhannes Ayvazyan will sing the role of Rodolfo.

Ayvazyan is a tenor who has performed at the Prague State Opera, Teatr Wielki Warsaw, Mariinsky theatre, Dubai Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Poznan Opera, Hungarian State Opera, and Müpa Budapest. The tenor is known for his interpretations of Otello, Cavaradossi, Andrea Chenier, Manrico, Don Jose Carmen, Calaf and Radames.

He is set to join a cast that includes Elbenita Kajtazi, Pavel Yankovsky, Alexander Roslavets, Kristina Stanek, and Gábor Bretz. Henrik Nánási conducting. “Luisa Miller” open on May 24 and runs through June 5, 2026.
