
Cast Change: Dave Monaco Takes Over Rossini Opera Festival’s Stabar Mater
By Francisco SalazarThe Rossini Opera Festival has announced a cast change for the “Stabat” Mater on August 23, 2026.
The company said that Dave Monaco will replace Dmitry Korchak, who has canceled for personal reasons.
This season at the Rossini Opera Festival, Monaco has already performed a solo recital and starred in the production of “L’occasione fa il ladro,”for which OperaWire said, “He gave a good performance in his aria, ‘D’ogni più sacro impegno,’ where he succeeds in displaying his stylistic abilities and ornamentation.”
He also recently sung Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” at Royal Albert Hall in London during the Proms festival.
Monaco is set to join a cast that includes Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Anna-Doris Capitelli, and Adrian Sâmpetrean. Ramon Tebar conducts
The performance will be Live streamed in Piazza del Popolo in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro.
