Cast Change: Darren Drone Makes European Debut at Royal Danish Opera

The Royal Danish Opera has announced a cast change for its production of “Rigoletto.”

The company said that baritone Darren Drone will sing the title role making his European debut on March 3, 5, and 11.

Drone has performed at the Dayton Opera, Portland Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Utah Opera, Seattle Opera, Orlando Opera, and Metropolitan Opera. He has performed the works of Verdi, Bizet, Blanchard, and Puccini.

He joins a cast that includes Gaelano Salas, Seonwoo Lee, and Henning von Schulman. Johannes Witt conducts the production by Sofia Adrian Jupither.
