On April 24, 2025, the Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò will present “Beyond the Shadows: The Music of Mercadante” in commemoration of the 230th anniversary of the composer’s birth in 1795.

Leading the event will be author Bianca Tragni who will introduce the evening’s soloists, including soprano Angela Lomurno, soprano Annunziata Loparcaro, and pianist Alfredo Luigi Cornacchia.

On the program will be music from such operas as “Orazi e Curiazi,” “Elena da Feltre,” and “Il Giuramento.” There will be other arias and songs as well.

The event is presented in support of Regione Puglia and in partnership with Club Federiciano and the Coro Polifonico “Saverio Mercadante.”
