On October 21 at 2:00 p.m. ET, the “Learn with Carnegie Hall” series continues with an episode featuring highlights from acclaimed mezzo-soprano and audience favorite Joyce DiDonato’s three Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute (WMI) master classes.

The program will stream on the Hall’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Viewers will be treated to past moments, and performances by rising singers coached by DiDonato. The mezzo-soprano has conducted workshops at the Hall since 2015. Along with explorations of music by Handel and Puccini, the master class episode includes DiDonato’s interview with fellow mezzo-soprano Kayleigh Decker. Decker, who took part in the WMI program in 2015, recently graduated from the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago.

“Learn With Carnegie Hall” pulls from the Hall’s library of master classes, offering musical insights from the world’s most respected and esteemed artists each week through late November.

The master class programming kicked off on October 14 with Sarah Willis, horn player from the Berlin Philharmoniker, with trumpeter Hans Peter Schuh and trombonist Dietmar Küblböck, both of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, presenting a brass orchestra class. Pianist Jonathan Biss hosts the October 28 episode devoted to solo piano performance. The series shares WMI programming for families, educators, and young musicians to foster growth, curiosity, and connection.
