Carmen Solís & María José Montiel Perform In Orquesta De La Extremadura’s 2018-19 Season

The Orquesta de Extremadura unveiled its 2018-19 season, featuring two important Spanish singers. Here is a look at those two concerts that are musts.

María José Montiel performe Chausson’s “Poème de l’amour et de la Mer” alongside Álvaro Albiach. The concert will also include Bruckner’s ever popular Symphony No. 7.

Performance Dates: Oct. 4 & 5, 2018

Carmen Solís performs Mozart arias under the baton of Domingo Hindoyan in a program that also includes Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 and Brahms/Schoenberg’s Quartet for Piano.

Carmen Solís performs Manuel de Falla’s “Six Popular Songs” with conductor Álvaro Albiach also leading the Strauss “Also Sprach Zarathustra.” Beethoven/Cooper’s Symphony No. 10 will also be performed.

Performance Dates: May 30 & 31, 2019

The season will also include numerous soloists including violinist Francisco Fullana and Oboist José Martí.
