Carmen Giannattasio, Serena Malfi & Fabio Sartori Lead Macerata Opera Festival’s 2022 Season

Here is a look at the season.
Donato Renzetti conducts Valentina Carrasco’s production of Puccini’s “Tosca.” Carmen Giannattasio, Antonio Poli, and Claudio Sgura star.
Performance Dates: July 24-31, 2022
The company will present the film “The Circus” by Charlie Chaplin alongside “Pagliacci.” The cast for Leoncavallo’s opera will include Rebeka Lokar, Fabio Sartori, George Petean, David Astorga, and Tommaso Barea. Timothy Brock conducts the production by Alessandro Talevi.
Performance Dates: August 5-11, 2022
Alessandro Bonato conducts Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” in a production by Daniele Menghini. The cast includes Ruzil Gatin, Roberto De Candia, Serena Malfi, Alessandro Luongo, and Andrea Concetti.
Performance Dates: August 10-21, 2022
Zubin Mehta conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Mandy Fredrich, Marie-Claude Chappuis, AJ Glueckert, and Florian Boesch.
Performance Dates: July 19, 2022
The Concerto conclusivo del Corso Internazionale for young diectors will feature Giacomo Puccini’s “La bohème” and Giuseppe Verdi’s “La traviata.”
Performance Date: August 11, 2022
Antonio Florio conducts Valentina Varriale, Daniela Salvo, Luca Cervoni, and Carlo Feola sing a performance with music by Mozart and Giuseppe Giordani.
