Carmela Remigio & Ruth Iniesta Lead Teatro Pergolesi Spontini’s 2024 Season

The Teatro Pergolesi Spontini has announced its 2024 operatic season.

The season opens with Spontini’s La Vestale conducted by Alessandro Benigni and directed by Gianluca Falaschi. Carmela Remigio sings the title role alongside Bruno Taddia, Joseph Dahdah, Daniela Pini, Adriano Gramigni, and Kilo Patrick Sullivan.

Performance Dates: Oct. 18 & 20, 2024

Rossini’s “Il Turco in Italia” will be conducted by Hossein Pishkar and directed by Roberto Catalano. Maharram Huseynov, Elena Galitskaia, Giulio Mastrototaro, Francisco Brito, Bruno Taddia, Daniele Terenzi, Francesca Cucuzza, and Antonio Garés star.

Performance Dates: Nov. 8 & 10, 2024

Spontini’s “I Quadri Parlanti” will star Martina Tragni, Davide Chiodo, Alfonso Michele Ciulla, Giuseppe Di Giacinto, Lucrezia Ianieri, Giada Borrelli, and Francesco Tuppo. Giulio Prandi conducts the new production by Gianni Marras.

Performance Dates: Nov. 29 & Dec. 1, 2024

Verdi’s “La Traviata” closes the season with Ruth Iniesta, Paolo Lardizzone, and Simone Piazzola leading the cast. Nir Kabaretti conducts.

Performance Dates: Dec. 20 & 22, 2024
