Canto Latino Cyberchallenge Announces 2021 Finalists

Canto Latino Cyberchallenge has announced the finalists for its 2021 competition.

The organization announced its finalists across several categories including Best Singer, Best Performance, Best Video, Best Pianist, Best Performance Art Song, Best Performance Ecuadorian Song, Best Performance of a Folk Song, and the Casa de la Música Debut Recital Prize.

Best Video nominees include Asael Cuesta, Kevin Guzman, Eugenia Forteza, Elena Villalón, Ángela Valencia, and Sishel Claverie.

In the Best Singer Category, the nominees are Mariana Sandoval, Karen Sosa, Pedro Arroyo, Jean Cerin, Linda Collazo, Sishel Claverie, Christopher Reames, Irine Khruleva, Elena Villalón, Alejandra Martínez, Luis Sarmiento, Allison Stanford, and Eugenia Forteza.

Nominees for Best Performance include Elena Villalón, Courtney Elvira, Allison Stanford, Jean Cerin, Asael Cuesta, Eugenia Forteza, Ricardo López, Rafael Reyes, Christopher Reames, Karen Sosa, Irina Khruleva, David Rivera, and Sishel Claverie.

Best Pianist nominees include Felipe Calle, Daniel Brito, Steven Aguiló-Arbues, Anastasia Zonova, José Roca, Sergio Vázquez, Masaru Sakuma, Alex Alarcón, Damilé Cruz, and Martín Samuel.

Nominees for Best Performance Art Song include Rafael Reyes, Allison Stanford, Irina Khruleva, Courtney Elvira, Matías Nuñez, Ricardo López, Karen Sosa, Jean Cerin, Melissa Medina, and Elena Vilalón.

In the Best Performance Ecuadorian Song, the nominees are Karen Sosa, Asael Cuesta, Ariana Abadía, and Ángela Valencia.

In the Best Performance of a Folk Song, the nominees are Ángela Valencia, Jean Cerin, Pedro Arroyo, Gabriela Dávila, Karen Sosa, and Paula Herrera.

Finalists for the Casa de la Música Recital include Doris Gordon and Daniel Brito; Karen Sosa and Alex Alarcón; Matías Núnez; Linda Collazo; Paula Herrera and Carol Andino; and Ángela Valencia and Daniel Brito.

There is also an audience award that will be announced on March 21, 2021.
