Camerata Pacifica to Present Libby Larsen’s New Work ‘Land’

Camerata Pacifica will present Grammy Award-winning composer Libby Larsen’s new work “Land.”

“Land” was commissioned for Camerata Pacifica by Joan Davidson in memory of her late husband, John Schnittker. It features six movements for French horn, cello, and piano.

Also on the program are pieces by multicultural composers such as Arvo Pärt, Isang Yun, Julia Gomelskaya, Otar Taktakishvili, and Rachmaninoff.

The concert will take place in four locations across Southern California. The first will be held at the Museum of Ventura County on April 16 at 3 pm, next at Huntington’s Rothenberg Hall on April 18 at 7:30 pm, followed by a performance at the Colburn School’s Zipper Hall on April 20 at 8 pm. The Music Academy of the West will host the final concert in the run on April 21 at 7:30 pm.
