The California State University Opera is set to present “Marea Roja” by Mexican composer Diana Syrse and “Cenicientaaa..!” by Argentinian composer Marta Lambertini.

The operas will be performed on April 4, 5, 6, and 7 in the Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall.

This will mark the U.S. premiere of the operas and will be conducted by Argentinan Mercedes Juan Musotto. The stage direction will be by Maurice Godin.

“Marea Roja” examines the cry of pain of all women. while “Cenicientaaa..!” takes the theme of the feminine and plays with it, indulges in the possibility, and garners laughter in that indulgence.
