The Buxton International Festival has announced its 2024 season.

Giuseppe Verdi’s “Ernani” will be conducted by Adrian Kelly with The Orchestra of Opera North.

George Frideric Handel’s “Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno” will join forces with The Early Opera Company for a new production conducted by Christian Curnyn.

Performance Dates: July 7-18, 2024

Peter Brook’s adaptation of Bizet’s “La Tragédie de Carmen” will see the festival collaborate with the Norwich Theatre.

Performance Dates: July 5-16, 2024

Ethel Smyth’s ‘The Boatswain’s Mate” will be performed at the Pavilion Arts Centre in a new production.

Joseph Haydn’s “La Canterina” will be performed in a new production at the Pavilion Arts Centre.
