Grange Park Opera, Surrey is set to launch a season of entirely new work which will be available online for free at the company’s official website.

Starting on June 4 and through June 12, the company will showcase 15 performances available online featuring over 70 of the world’s leading singers and musicians.

Among them are concerts featuring some of opera’s greatest stars including Sir Bryn Terfel, Sir Simon Keenlyside, and tenor Joseph Calleja. Roderick Williams will be performing Schumann’s “Liederkreis.”

Works that will be showcased include “La Voix Humaine” and “Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night.”

There will also be eight performances inside the Theatre in the Woods including “The View from the Villa” which stars Iain Burnside and features music from the Wedendonck Lieder and extracts from “Tristan und Isolde” and “Die Walküre.”

There will also be a concert featuring R. Strauss’ “Metamorphosen” with 23 string players from the London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

“Grange Park Opera’s original 2020 program will forever be known to me as ‘The Lost Season.’ But culture is active and happening right now. Driven by this, I did not want to just share performances that people will have seen before, but to create an entirely new Found Season of brand-new works, and bring it to as many people as possible,” stated Founder and Chief Executive Officer Wasfi Kani.
