Opera Colorado has announced its 2022-23 season which will celebrate its 40th Anniversary Season and its biggest season yet.

Catherine Martin sings the role of Santuzza in Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” with Catherine Cook, Malcolm McKenzie, Roberto de Biasio, and Kira Dills-Desurra. Ari Pelto conducts the semi-staged production by David Lefkowich.

Performance Date: Sept. 10, 2022

Verdi’s “Rigoletto” is set to star Stephen Powell in the title role, Sharleen Joynt, Matthew White, Christian Zaremba, and Sandra Piques Eddy. Ari Pelto conducts the production by Christopher Mattaliano.

Performance Dates: Nov. 5-13, 2022

Bryan Hymel and Sara Gartland star in Korngold’s “Die Tote Stadt” with Chas Rader-Shieber directing. Daniel Belcher, Elizabeth Bishop, and Jonathan Johnson. Ari Pelto conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 25-March 5, 2023

Kara Shay Thompson stars in the title role of Puccini’s “Turandot” with Jonathan Burton, Janai Brugger, Harold Wilson, Craig Verm, Alex Mansoori, and Martin Bakari. Ari Pelto conducts the production by Aria Umezawa.
