Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra Announces 2025 Holiday Concerts

By Francisco Salazar

Brooklyn’s premiere professional orchestra, the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra is set to celebrate the holiday season with three festive performances across two historic Brooklyn churches.

In a statement, Philip Nuzzo, Artistic Director of Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra said, “There’s a special energy in Brooklyn at this time of year. These concerts let us reflect on a season filled with music and connection, and they reaffirm something we feel every day — that classical music is thriving here, and that our community is eager to share in it. It’s a joyful way to mark the holidays and close the year together.”

The orchestra begins with Händel’s “Messiah” performed with the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn and acclaimed mezzo-soprano Melody Wilson.

Performance Dates: Dec. 13 at Old First Reformed Church in Park Slope & Dec. 14 at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights

The season concludes with “A Very Merry Brooklyn.” The evening will feature the New York Choral Society.

Performance Date: Dec. 21 at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity
