The Brooklyn Art Song Society has announced its 2023-24 season.

First up is “Circles I: Clara, Robert, and Johannes” which features works by Robert Schumman, Brahms, and Clara Schumann. Performers include Elisabeth Marshall, Katherine Lerner, Gregory Feldmann, Brian Mextorf, Micchael Brofman, and Joel Harder.

Performance Date: Oct. 6, 2023

“The Wagnerians” will feature music by Chausson, Duparc, Wagner, and Wolf as performed by Tami Petty, Blythe Gaissert, Mario Diaz-Moresco, Dimitri Dover, and Spencer Myer.

Performance Date: Nov. 3, 2023

Music by Berg, Schoenberg, and Webern headlines “The Second Viennese School. Performers include Maggie Finnegan, Jennifer Zetlan, Kate Maroney, Michael Brofman, Eric Huebner, and Nana Shi.

Mireille Asselin, Amy Owens, Anna Laurenzo, Michael Kelly, Michael Brofman, and Miori Sugiyama star in “Les Six,” a program featuring music by Auric, Durey, Honnger, Milhaud, Poulenc, and Tailleferre.

Performance Date: Jan. 5, 2024

Next up is “The Minnesota Connection,” a program showcasing works by Argento, Djustrom, Libby Larsen, and Moya as performed by Maria Valdes, Jesse Blumberg, Randall Scarlata, Laura Ward, and Michael Brofman.

Performance Date: Feb. 2, 2024

Britten and Weill’s music will be the focus of “The February House.”

Performance Date: March 1, 2024

The Dichter Project returns with a performance featuring works by Wolf as performed by Kristina Bachrach, Devony Smith, Dylan Morrongiello, Sidney Outlaw, Michael Brofman, and Danny Zelibor.

New Voices Festival 2024

The New Voices Festival kicks off with “Departures I.” That program includes music by Bell, Fang Man, Okpebholo, Platt, Huang Ruo, and Raymond Yiu. Performers include Paul Appleby, Joshua Conyers, Michael Brofman, and Myra Huang.

Performance Date: March 28, 2024

“Departures II” showcases such performers as Lucy Fitz-Gibbon, Charlotte Mundy, Emily Triebold, Dominik Belavy, Nathaniel LaNasa, Brent Funderburk, and Ryan McCullough. The program includes works by Katherine Balch, Charlotte Bray, Matthew Ricketts, and Aida Shirazi.

Performance Date: May 2, 2024

The final installment of the festival, “Departures III,” includes works by Beecher, Feslenfeld, Jessica Meyer, Caroline Shaw, and Weiser. Performers include Mary Bonhag, Sarah Nelson Craft, Andrew Fuchs, Stanichka Dimitrova, Jessica Meyer, Karen Ouzounian, Evan Premo, Lembit Beecher, and Michael Brofman.
