Britten Pears Arts Announces Reopening

By Francisco Salazar

The Britten Pears Arts has announced its reopening.

Britten Pears Arts plans on reopening the Snape Maltings on May 21 while the Red House is set to reopen on May 20. The Aldeburgh Festival, which takes place at the Snape Maltings, however, will not be held this upcoming June.

The British Center on the Suffolk coast noted in an official statement that, “We are excited about the prospect of starting concerts and events again and re-opening our sites and shops. Having played a leading role as one of the first venues to open and give live concerts indoors last year, we are keen to employ musicians again and give back to our community.”

The organization added, “Of course, as with all organizations, our plans are tied to the government’s roadmap for relaxing COVID measures and are therefore subject to change. We will announce more detail in due course but want to share with you an overview of our intentions. We cannot wait to be back up and running and to welcome you back to both Snape Maltings and The Red House over the coming months.”
