Brittany Smith, Michael Spyres, Juan Hernández Headline Guild Hall’s 2022 Summer Season

Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY has announced its summer 2022 season.
“This season, artists take us offsite to experiences with programming at partner institutions and local businesses,” says Guild Hall Executive Director, Andrea Grover, in an official press statement. “Guild Hall is obsessed with collaboration and being nomadic is one way to bring our mission to the community. Expect to see artwork on the beach, installations in-situ, pop-up performances in public spaces, opera from emerging voices, group song, travel, learning, sharing, and more.”
This article focuses solely on vocal performances.
First up is the Resistance Revival Chorus, which features over 60 womxn who will present a concert showcasing the ensemble’s 2020 album “This Joy.”
Performance Date: June 3, 2022
Next up is “Choir! Choir! Choir!” The Toronto-based group will present the famed duo alongside over 300 voices.
Performance Date: June 22, 2022
First, emerging artists of the Bel Canto Boot Camp will present “The Potions of Love: Bel Canto Arias and Ensemble.” Headlining the event will be soprano Brittany Smith and tenor Juan Hernández. Pianists Rachelle Jonck and Derrick Goff will accompany.
Performance Date: July 30, 2022
Tenor Michael Spyres will lead the Bel Canto Boot Camp with a recital of his favorite bel canto repertory. He will perform alongside resident artists and pianists Rachelle Jonck and Derrick Goff.
