The British Youth Opera ⁦ has announced its 2021 summer season at the home of ⁦Opera Holland Park.

Humperdink’s “Hansel and Gretel“ is set to be performed in a production by Daisy Evans. Stevie Higgins conducts the English language translation.

Performance Dates: August 10-15, 2021

Rossini’s “L’occasione fa il ladro” will be performed in a production by Victoria Newlyn. Peter Robinson conducts the rarely performed work by the bel canto master.

Performance Dates: August 12-15, 2021

The productions will feature artists from the company’s training program. Applications for the training program are now closed and casts will be announced in the coming weeks.

The British Youth Opera provides professional opportunities for singers, musicians, and technical trainees and participants are normally in the middle of their formal musical education or have just finished and are about to begin their professional careers.
