
Brick Presbyterian Church Unveils 2025-26 Season
By David SalazarNew York’s Brick Presbyterian Church has unveiled its 2025-26 season. Here are the vocal performances on offer.
The Chancel Choir and instrumental ensemble will present “A World of Faith.” The program will feature “Prélude sur le Veni Creator” by Maurice Duruflé, the 13th-century “Communion Verse,” “Farafeza Longa” by Riyad Al-Sunbati, “Adinu,” “Oseh Shalom” by Nurit Hirsh (arranged by Elaine Broad Ginsberg), and “Hicaz Mandra” by Sultan Abdülaziz. Soloists include soloists soprano Hannah Goodman and baritone Constantinos Yiannoudes.
Performance Date: Oct. 5, 2025
Soprano Lucy Fitz Gibbons will headline a performance featuring cantatas by Händel and Montéclair.
Performance Date: Oct. 18, 2025
The Chancel & Youth Choirs, brass, and percussion will perform in “Festival of Hymnody: Hymns Through the Ages.
Performance Date: Oct. 19, 2025
The Chancel Choir and Orchestra will present Mozart’s “Requiem.”
Performance Date: Nov. 9, 2025
There will be a performance of Carissimi’s ‘Jephte.”
Performance Date: Nov. 23, 2025
There will be a Christmas showcase featuring carols and a world premiere by Daniel Ficarri.
Performance Date: Dec. 14, 2025
Kicking off the new year will be a “Moravian Lovefeast” that includes music for choir and string quartet.
Performance Date: Jan. 25, 2026
The Chancel Choir and Choir of Trinity Church will join forces in concert.
Performance Date: Feb. 15, 2026
TENET Vocal Artists will showcase “TENEBRAE,” featuring works by Charpentier and his contemporaries.
Performance Date: Feb. 27 – March 27, 2026
Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms” will get a performance by the Chancel Choir.
Performance Date: March 8, 2026
Closing out the season will be a performance of John Stainer’s “The Crucifixion.” Soloists include Sean Fallen and Nathaniel Sullivan.
