Brian Jagde has withdrawn from his upcoming performances at the Arena di Verona on July 13 and 16, 2025.

The tenor took to social media to update his followers on his diagnosis of diverticulitis and noted that he was getting surgery for the condition. He went on to speak at length about his process leading up to the surgery.

The tenor, however, did note that he will be performing in “Otello” this fall at the Teatro Real.

This past June, Jagde was forced to cancel performances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Greek National Opera due to the condition.

The Arena di Verona has yet to announce a replacement, and the performances are set to star Olga Maslova, Agnieszka Rehlis, Alexander Vinogradov, and Amartuvshin Enkhbat.
