Brian Cheney, Jennifer Zetlan to Appear in ‘Remembering RGB’

By David Salazar

Live with Carnegie Hall is set to celebrate late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in performance live on Nov. 19, 2020.

The performance, entitled “Remember RBG,” is set to start at 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on Live with Carnegie Hall, Facebook, or YouTube for free.

Audiences will see duet “We Are Different, We are One” from Derrick Wang’s “Scalia / Ginsburg” in Delaware’s 2019 production. Tenor Brian Cheney, who interpreted the role of Scalia, performed alongside soprano Jennifer Zetlan, who performed as Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Cheney has been a champion of the online recital for many months, presenting weekly showcases throughout the COVID-19 lockdown across a wide range of repertoire. He also recently released an album, “I Sang My Heart to the Moon,” on which he collaborated with composer Oliver Ostermann.

Zetlan recently appeared in On Site Opera’s “To My Distant Love,” the world’s first telephone-based opera experience.
