Brenda Rae & Javier Camarena to Headline ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’ at Opéra National de Paris

The Opéra National de Paris is set to present Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” starting on Feb. 18, 2023.

The opera will be directed by Andrei Serban and conducted by Aziz Shokhakimov. The production features set and costume design by William Dudley with lighting design by Guido Levi. Ching-Lien Wu is the chorus master for the Paris Opera Chorus.

Brenda Rae stars in the title role alongside Javier Camarena as her lover Edgardo. As the tyrannical brother Enrico, audiences will hear the Paris debut of Mattia Olivieri. Thomas Bettinger will star as Arturo while Adam Palka will take on the role of Raimondo.

Rounding out the cast will be Julie Pasturaud as Alisa and Éric Huchet as Normanno.

There will be a sum total of eight performances of “Lucia di Lammermoor,’ with the run coming to a close on March 10, 2023.
