
Brandon Cedel & Sydney Mancasola Lead Atlanta Opera’s ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’

The production by Stephen Lawless will be conducted by Christoper Allen
Brandon Cedel leads the cast as Figaro while Sydney Mancasola will sing the role of Susanna.
They will be joined by Luke Sutliff as Count Almaviva, Iulia Maria Dan as the Countess, Rihab Chaieb as Cherubino and Patrick Carfizzi as Bartolo.
In a statement, Tomer Zvulun, The Atlanta Opera’s General & Artistic Director said, “This ingenious production of The Marriage of Figaro will captivate Atlanta audiences with its wit, humanity, and vocal brilliance, brought to life by a sensational ensemble that includes an unusually deep and accomplished group of artists and a great conductor- in Christopher Allen. mMozart’s brilliant music and the fast‑paced comedy in this masterpiece have led many to call it the ‘perfect opera.’ We are excited to bring this work back to Atlanta after more than a decade of absence!”
“Le Nozze di Figaro” is set to be performed for times March 14, 17, 20, and 22 at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The March 20 performance will be livestreamed by The Atlanta Opera Film Studio. Offered free with email registration, the livestream starts with a pre-show at 6:30 p.m. EST followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m.
