On December 21, 2020, Boston Lyric Opera will present “A Winter’s Evening,” a seasonal concert which will feature soprano Gabriella Reyes.

Reyes will perform a selection of seasonal favorites, classical arias, and Spanish folk songs. She will be accompanied by pianist and BLO Chorus Master Brett Hodgdon, as well as guitarist Zaira Meneses.

Named one of Lincoln Center’s 2019 emerging artists, Reyes has performed Liù in “Turandot” and the First Lady in “The Magic Flute” during the Metropolitan Opera’s 19-20 season.

“Gabriella’s tremendous talent is evidenced by her already impressive career,” Esther Nelson, BLO General and Artistic Director, stated in a press release. “We are thrilled to bring her music, and the charms of this historic New England estate, into the homes of opera lovers and everyone who loves the holiday season.”

The performance was recorded live at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts and will be hosted by Sabrina Victor, who is an actor and activist in addition to being the current Miss Massachusetts.
