Boston Lyric Opera Announces Brand New OperaBox.tv Slate

Boston Lyric Opera has announced its streaming slate for this week which features three unique new programs.

It all started with the second episode of “We Need to Listen: Conversations that Matter with Celeste Headlee.” This installment focused on composers of color and a conversation with Nkeiru Okoye, Dr. Naomi André, and Dr. Isaiah Jackson.

Streaming Date: Nov. 10, 2020

Next up is the premiere of “Retro + Short Cuts,” a new series that sets familiar opera pieces to unique new imagery. The series is a team-up between filmmaker Greg Emetaz and BLO Artistic Advisor and legendary theater designer John Conklin. The first two episodes will feature videos of “Vissi D’Arte” and “Der Hölle Rache.”

Streaming Date: Nov. 12, 2020

The week draws to a close with “Boston Opera Soirée,” a recorded program that highlights operatic and popular favorites as performed by Boston-area artists.

David holds a Masters in Media Management from Fordham University. During his time at Fordham, he studied abroad at the Jagiellonian University in Poland. He also holds a dual bachelor’s from Hofstra University in Film Production and Journalism.
