Boston Baroque to Celebrate Holiday Concerts

The Boston Baroque will continue its season with two-holiday programs.

Händel’s “Messiah” will be performed on Dec. 2 at GBH’s Calderwood Studio in Brighton and on Dec. 3rd at NEC’s Jordan Hall in Boston.

Music Director Martin Pearlman will be conducted and will star soprano Amanda Forsythe, mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford, tenor Karim Sulayman, and baritone Roderick Williams. The Saturday performance will be streamed live on IDAGIO, and available to rent on-demand for 30 days following the stream.

The organization will then present a New Year’s Celebration on Dec. 31 at GBH’s Calderwood Studio, and on Jan. 1, 2023 at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. The Dec. 31 will be streamed live on IDAGIO, and available to rent on-demand for 30 days following the stream. The program features music by Bach, William Boyce, Heinrich Biber, and Handel. Soloists include Sonja Tengblad and Justin Bland.
