Three Boston-based organizations are joining forces with WCRB Classical Radio Boston to put together Festival 1750, a 10-day broadcast music festival.

The showcase, which kicks off on April 20, 2020, features Boston Baroque, the Handel and Haydn Society, and Boston Early Music Festival.

“As WCRB continues to explore ways to keep our audience and Boston’s vibrant music community connected, we thought a festival featuring the three leading period instrument organizations would be unique and musically fabulous,” said Anthony Rudel, station manager of WCRB in a press release. “Over 10 nights, our audience can relive the incredible feeling of being in the hall to experience great performers playing superb music.”

The festival will feature music written immediately before and after 1750 by such composers as Mozart, Haydn, Handel, and Bach. Among the pieces that will be performed are selections from operas by Rameau, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, and concertos by Bach and Teleman.
