
Boris Pinkhasovich Cancels ‘Tosca’ at Mikhailovsky Theatre

The company said, “We regret to announce that Boris Pinkhasovich has withdrawn from the performance of ‘Tosca’ on 14 November due to health reasons. The role of Baron Scarpia will be performed by Alexander Kuznetsov.”
However, the company did note that Pinkhsaovich would perform on Nov. 23 in a performance of “La Traviata.”
Pinkhasovich is a well-known baritone who performs regularly at the Wiener Staatsoper and has recently performed at the Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris, Zurich Opera House, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Salzburg Festival, and Baden-Baden Easter Festival.
In January, he sings the title role of “Eugene Onegin” at the Paris Opera in Ralph Fiennes’ new production.
