Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program & Central City Opera Announce 28 Studio & Apprentice Artists

The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program is set to take place during the Central City Opera’s annual festival. 

For the upcoming edition, the 10-week program has selected 28 total participants, who will be cast in festival productions and obtain valuable training in performance and career management. Trainees will earn a salary with benefits and will be split into two tiers – Apprentice Artists and Studio Artists. 

The 2020 Apprentice Artists include Dylan Davis, Madeline Ehlinger, Corey Gaudreau, Zach M. Goldman, Kevin Thomas Harvey, Eric J. McConnell, Bernardo Medeiros, Michelle Monroe, Erik Nordstrom, Laura Corina Sanders, Andrew Simpson, Pascale Spinney, Sable Strout, Polixeni Tziouvaras, and Carla Vargas Fuster. 

As far as 2020 Studio Artists, Aryssa Leigh Burrs, Han-Wei Chen, Dylan Elza, Robert Hartfield, Katherine Holobinko, Phillip Lopez, Ryan Lustgarten, Kaylee Nichols, Matthew Payne, James Resch, Madison Rice, and Marin Tack were among those selected. 

“The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation is proud to have endowed the Central City Opera Artists Training Program in 1998 with a total gift of $2.5 million,” stated Bonfils-Stanton Foundation President and CEO Gary Steuer in a press release. “The Foundation believes deeply in the power of the arts to transform lives and communities, and for the arts to remain vibrant we must cultivate and support our young artists, which this program does so well.”
