By Francisco Salazar

The Bolshoi Theatre and Google have announced the continuation of a series of broadcasts of the theater’s “gold collection” performances on YouTube.

The theater announced that from April 15 to May 11, 2020, viewers from around the world will be able to  to see recordings of ballets  and operas and concerts by soloists of the Bolshoi Opera.

Each performance will begin at 7 p.m. Moscow time and broadcasts will go in the Youtube “premiere” mode. Each performance will remain online for 24 hours after the initial premiere.

In a press release Bolshoi Theatre General Manager Vladimir Urin said, “Since we cannot restore the theater’s normal operation yet, and our beloved spectators are forced to isolate themselves, we decided to continue broadcasting our performances on the Internet.
