Bob Cole Conservatory of Music Opera Institute To Present ‘Dialogues of the Carmelites’

The Bob Cole Conservatory of Music Opera Institute will present Francis Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites.” Performances are set for April 12, 13, and 14 with two showcases set for Saturday.

The fully staged production will be performed in French with English supertitles, but will include the unique feature of two pianos accompanying the singers in lieu of a full orchestra. The opera will be directed by Eli Villanueva with David Anglin, the Opera Institute Director, conducting the performances.

Taking on the role of Blanche de la Force will be Belinda Gonzalez and Saane Halaholo. As the Marquis de la Force, audiences will see both Stefan Jevitic and Malek Sammour while the role of the Chevalier de la Force will be alternated by Thomas O’Hara and Dominic Preston.

Courtney Ankerfelt and Erin Alford will alternate the roles of Madame de Croissy and the Prioress. Other cast members will include April Mendiola, Melina Adragna, Caroline Hyatte, Christina Choate, Candelaria Dangerfield, Justin Baptista, Jimmy Lopez, Berkley Kielhack, Charles Egger, Tim Cervenka, Cesar Ballardo, Justin Baptista, Emily Bosetti, Mariah Maglalang, Nancy Morgan, Niko Murakami, Vincent Loza, and Slater Astle.
