B:Music has announced its Birmingham Classical Series 2022-23 season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

Soprano Heloise Schofield will perform alongside The Hermes Experiment. The showcase will include music by Anna Merdith, Helen Grime, Imogen Holst, Lili Boulanger, Ruari Paterson-Achenbach, Mira Calix, and Errollyn Wallen.

The King’s Singers will present “Northern Lights,” a program that showcases music by Ola Gjello, Grieg, Alfvén, Mäntyjärvi, Rautavaara, and Sibelius.

Performance Date: Jan. 27, 2023

Jeffrey Skidmore leads Ex Cathedra Choir and Baroque Orchestra in “St. Matthew Passion.”

Performance Date: April 7, 2023

Baritone James Newby and pianist Joseph Middleton will present Schubert’s “Die schöne Müllerin.”
