Blackwater Valley Opera Festival Announces 2022 Season

The Blackwater Valley Opera Festival has announced its 2022 season, which will take place between May 31 and June 6.

The festival kicks off with “Orfeo ed Euridice” starring Kelli-Ann Masterson, Meili Li, and Aoife Gibney. David Bolger directs and Peter Whelan conducts.

Performance Dates: June 1-5, 2022 

There will also be a series of concerts. First up will be Maurice Steger and friends performing in “Music for the Opera Intermissions.”

Performance Dates: June 2, 2022

Next up will be a concert featuring Giovanni Bellucci entitled “Myths and Legends – Orpheus.”

Performance Dates: June 6, 2022

Nuria Rial and Juan Sancho will present a program dedicated to Händel alongside the Irish Baroque Orchestra.

Performance Dates: June 6, 2022

There will be a series of open-air lunchtime recitals.

Performance Dates: June 1-6, 2022

The BVOF Chorus will also give a recital.

Performance Dates: June 2, 2022

There will be a BVOF Bursary recital with Ellen Mawhinney and John Porters.

Performance Dates: June 3, 2022

Phoebe White and Ellen Jansson will headline the RDS Collins Memorial Recital.

Performance Dates: June 4, 2022

There will be the “Joyce in Music” Recital.

Performance Dates: June 4, 2022

And finally, David Corr and Clara Siegle will star in the Irish Heritage Bursary Recital 2022.
