Bilbao Opera Launches Streaming Services With Complete Opera & Opera for Kids

The Bilbao Opera has announced its will begin streaming operas.

The new streamer #ABAOenCasa will be launched on the company’s official webpage, www.abao.org, and will showcase complete operas, conferences, and opera for kids. 

In the Óperas para el recuerdo section the company will showcase concerts and operas from past seasons including Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem,” Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene,” Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” Dvořák “Rusalka,” Puccini’s “La Bohème,”Britten’s “Billy Budd,” Beethoven’s “Fidelio,” Bizet’s “Les pêcheurs de perles,” and Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor.” New operas will be uploaded on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The Crónicas de ABAO section will showcase 80-minute videos with some of operas greatest scenes. The section will be divided into three collections, Momentos Fundación BBVA, Momentos Tutto Verdi, and Horizontes de Excelencia.

The ABAO Txiki is made specifically for families and for children. There will be five titles in the section. Finally, the podcast de ABAO will be the place to watch conferences with some of the greatest opera stars in the world.
