Bilbao Opera Announces Lineup & Program for ‘Tutto Verdi’

On Sept. 24, the Bilbao Opera is set to present Tutto Verdi concert.

The concert is set to take place at the Euskalduna Bilbao with Daniel Oren conducting the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa. Angela Meade, Daniela Barcellona, Sergio Escobar, Giovanni Meoni, and David Lagares will star as the soloists of the gala.

Throughout the evening, audiences will  hear 15 different scenes written by Verdi. Among the selections on the program are the complete ballet from “Macbeth,” the gypsy chorus from “Il Trovatore,” Eboli’s aria from “Don Carlo,” and Renato’s aria from “Un ballo in maschera.” Also featured on the concert will be the famed chorus from “Nabucco” and scenes from the third and fourth act of “Aida.” The “Inno delle nazioni” will close out the program; this is the first time that that piece will be heard at the Bilbao Opera.

Following this gala, the Bilbao Opera will present productions of “I Puritani,” “Anna Bolena,” “I Puritani,” “Così fan tutte,” “Tosca,” and “Il Trovatore” throughout the 2022-23 season.
