The Bilbao Opera has announced a cast change for its production of Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” in January 2022.

The company noted that Daniela Mack will take over the role of Sesto, replacing Daniela Barcellona, who is recovering from an injury that impedes her from joining the production. Mack joins a cast that includes Paolo Fanale, Vanessa Goikoetxea, Veta Pilipenko, Itziar de Unda, and Josep Miquel Ramon. Maestro Riccardo Frizza conducts.

This season Mack is set to appear in productions of “Partenope” and “Nabucco” at the Teatro Real; “I capuleti e i montecchi” at the Teatro la Maestranza; “Amadigi di Gaula” with the Boston Baroque; and “Serse” at Carnegie Hall.

“La Clemenza di Tito” opens on Jan. 22 and runs through Jan. 31, 2022.
