The Berkshire Opera Festival has announced its 2024 season.

BOF proudly presents the first workshop performance of a brand new opera from the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Anthony Davis. The opera in question is “The Reef” and the workshop will be held at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, New York City. The libretto is by Joan Ross Sorkin and adapted from the novel by Edith Wharton.

Workshop Date: April 10, 2024

The festival will present Gounod’s “Faust” at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Great Barrington, MA.

Brian Garman conducts the new production by Jonathon Loy. Duke Kim, Raquel González, Justin Hopkins, Jarrett Porter, Sun-Ly Kim, Abbegael Greene, and Kyle Dunn.

Performance Dates: August 24, 27 & 30, 2024

The BOF will present its annual 2024 Annual Gala “A Faustian Fête” at the historic Lenox Club (Lenox, MA).
