Berkshire Choral International to Present Music of ‘British Mavericks’ at UMass Amherst

Berkshire Choral International will present a choral-orchestral concert on June 27, 2026.

The showcase, featuring works by Dame Ethel Smyth and Benjamin Britten, will take place  at Tillis Performance Hall, Bromery Center for the Arts at UMass Amherst. The program will be guest conducted by Beth Willer, Founder and Artistic Director of the Lorelei Ensemble and Director of Choral Studies at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University.

The program includes Smyth’s “Mass in D” and Britten’s “Rejoice in the Lamb,” in the orchestration by Imogen Holst. Vocal soloists include soprano Sarah Brailey, mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski, tenor Aaron Crouch, and bass Carl Dupont.

The performance commences at 7:30 p.m. local time.
