Benjamin Bernheim Headlines Berlin Philharmonic’s New Year’s Eve Concert

Benjamin Bernheim will join the Berlin Philharmonic and chief conductor Kirill Petrenko for its annual New Year’s concert.

The tenor will perform aria from Bizet’s “Carmen,” Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin,” Massenet’s “Werther,” and Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette.”

The evening will also include Tchaikovsky’s “Fantasy Overture Romeo and Juliette” and as music by Bizet, Chabrier, and Gershwin.

The concert, which will be performed on Dec. 29, 30, and 31 will be broadcast in the Digital Concert Hall on dec. 31 and Jan. 1. It will also be broadcast on Dec. 31 through Radio3 (formerly rbbKultur), Arte TV Deutschland and Arte TV Frankreich. The concert, including the accompanying programme, will also be broadcast in many cinemas in Germany and around the world.
