Ben Bliss, J’Nai Bridges, Liv Redpath Win LA Opera’s 2022 Eva and Marc Stern Artist Award

The Los Angeles Opera has announced the 2022 recipients for the Eva and Marc Stern Artist Award.

This year’s recipients include Ben Bliss, J’Nai Bridges, and Liv Redpath. The trio will split the $60,000 award, which aims to recognize artists with deep connections to LA Opera.

Bliss is a former member of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program from 2011-2013 and made his company debut in 2011 in a production of “Roméo et Juliette.” Since then, he has appeared in productions of “La Bohème,” “I Due Foscari,” “Dulce Rosa,” “The Magic Flute,” and is currently in the company’s production of “St. Matthew Passion.”

Meanwhile Bridges made her LA Opera debut in 2016 in “Akhnaten” and has appeared in production of “Satyagraha,” and “Oedipus Rex.” She also delivered the online Signature Recital in 2021.

Meanwhile Redpath was a member of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program between 2016-2019 and debuted with the company in “Macbeth.” She has since appeared in productions of “The Tales of Hoffmann,” “Orpheus and Eurydice,” “Hansel and Gretel,” and is set to star in “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
