The Händel International Festival in Göttingen will open its doors on May 20 and it is set to run through June 1. Here is a look at what is on offer.

“Rodelinda” HWV 19 will feature Christina Gansch, Christopher Lowrey, Thomas Cooley, Franziska Gottwald, William Berger, and Owen Willetts, with Laurence Cummings conducting.

Diego Fasolis will conduct “Alessandro” HWV 21 will showcase Bejun Mehta, Julia Lezhneva, Lucia Cirillo, Raffaele Pe, Sonia Prina, Valentino Buzza, and José Coca Loza.

Performance Date: May 21, 2020

“Ottone” HWV 15 will present Marie Seidler, Mariamielle Lamagat, Tamara Gura, Alberto Miguélez Rouco, Anna Starushkevych, and Yannick Debus. Fabrizio Ventura will conduct the production by Anna Magdalena Fitzi.

Performance date: May 22, 2020

“Ariodante” HWV 33 will star Emily Fons, Carolyn Sampson, Filippo Mineccia, Rachel Redmond, Thomas Cooley, Njål Sparbo, and Merlin Wagner. Laurence Cummings will conduct.

“Publio Cornelio Scipione” HWV 20 will feature Xavier Sabata, Myrtò Papatanasiu, Yuriy Mynenko, Juan Sancho, Myrsini Margariti, and Petros Magoulas. George Petrou will conduct.

“Xerxes” HWV 40 will showcase Sophie Rennert, Christopher Ainslie, Anna Dennis, Sophie Harmsen, Rachel Redmond, William Berger, and Lisandro Abadie.

Laurence Cummings will conduct.

“Rinaldo” HWV 7 will be performed by Graduates of the Juilliard School of Music New York including Maggie Reneé Valdman, Hyoyoung Kim, Karin Osbeck, Erik van Heyningen, Jessica Niles, and Song Hee Lee. Nicholas McGegan will conduct.

“Giustino” HWV 37 will star Lawrence Zazzo, Myrsini Margariti, Hanna Herfurtner, Julia Böhme, Andreas Post, and Florian Götz. Wolfgang Katschner will conduct the production by Eugenio Monti Colla.
