Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre is set to present the premiere of “Exposure” on Nov. 20, 2020 via live-stream.

The new opera about power and consent, was written by Bea Goodwin and features music by Daniel Felsenfeld and adapts Thomas Hardy’s novel “The Pursuit of the Well-Beloved.”

“As a woman living in New York City, I have lived with women who have traumas of their own, each story inspiring a greater depth to the creation of ‘Exposure’s’ world,” Goodwin stated in a press release.

The opera stars sopranos Elyse Anne Kakacek and Sara Lin Yoder alongside duo Transcient Canvas.

The work will later be recorded as a feature film, produced by Frisson Films Inc, using the recording of the audio performance featured on Nov. 20.
