BBC Cardiff Singer of World Announces 2023 Participants

The BBC Cardiff Singer of the World has announced the 2023 participants.

The competition will showcase 16 singers from around the world competing for the top prize.

The singers are Simone McIntosh (Canada), HuHe Gala (China), Meigui Zhang (China), Julieth Lozano Rolong (Colombia), William Thomas (England), Adolfo Corrado (Italy), Beomjin Kim ( South Korea), Sungho Kim (South Korea), Beth Taylor (Scotland), Nombulelo Yende ( South Africa), Siphokazi Molteno (South Africa), Filipe Manu (Tonga), Johanna Wallroth (Sweden), Vasyl Solodkyy (Ukraine), Jess Robinson (Wales), and Ogulcan Yilmaz (Turkey).

The Cardiff competition is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary and will take place on June 10 through 18, 2023.

Past winners include Karita Mattila, Jamie Barton, Valentina Naforniță, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, and Lisa Gasteen.
