Bayerische Staatsoper Revives Monday Concerts, Starting With Jonas Kaufmann Performance

The Bayerische Staatsoper’s Monday concerts have been revived and will restart on April 27 with a concert by Jonas Kaufmann.

The free concerts, which will be performed from the stage of the Bayerische Staatsoper, will start at 8.15 pm (CET) on STAATSOPER.TV, live and will free of charge.

The Monday Concerts will showcase artists performing Lied, solo instrumentalists, chamber music and dance.

The concerts began in March but were canceled due to strict regulations by German government. The concert have already included Adela Zaharia, Christina Landshamer, Julia Fischer, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Christian Gerhaher,  Gerold Huber, Michael Nagy and Tareq Nazmi.

More soloists will be announced in the coming weeks. Concert four is set to showcase Jonas Kaufmann, Elsa Benoit, and the Münchner Klaviertrio. The concert will be dedicated in memory of Peter Jonas.
