Bayerische Staatsoper Expands Seating Capacity

The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced its seating capacity.

The company noted that from Jan. 28, it will be allowed to increase its seating capacity from 25 percent to 50 percent, relaxing the stricter COVID measures imposed last month.

It added, “we will use the ‘chessboard’ pattern for all performances” and that “not all seats in the regular auditorium schedule will be available beginning Jan. 28. Buyers and subscribers of the performances until Feb. 13 have already been informed by the company and only tickets marked “New” are valid.

The Bayerische Staatsoper is set to perform productions of “Giselle,” “The silent Woman,” “Das schlaue Füchslein,” “Paradigma,” and”Il turco in Italia” in the next weeks leading up to Feb. 13, 2022.
