Bayerische Staatsoper Announces Conductor Change for ‘La Cenerentola’
By David SalazarThe Bayerische Staatsoper has announced a conductor change for two performances of “La Cenerentola.”
Antonello Allemandi will conduct the opera on June 14 and 19, taking over for Ivor Bolton who has withdrawn from the production.
He leads a cast that stars Lawrence Brownlee, Isabel Leonard, Nikolay Borchev, and Roberto Tagliavini, among others. Antonio Fogliani is still set to conduct the June 16, 2024 performance.
Allemandi has conducted productions at such companies as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Royal Opera House London, Wiener Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zürich, Opéra National de Paris, Washington National Opera, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Teatro Real de Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Teatro alla Scala in Milano, and Festival Verdi di Parma, among others.
