Bass Joshua Bloom Joins OWL Artist Management Roster
By Nicolas QuirogaOWL Artist Management has taken on the General Management of Australian-American bass Joshua Bloom. Born of musician parents, Bloom studied cello and double bass and was a chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne. The bass received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Melbourne University.
Bloom made his debut while in an OzOpera touring production of “The Barber of Seville.” He joined the Australian Opera Young Artists Program in Sydney before entering the Merola Scholarship Program at San Francisco Opera. Since then, his voice has positioned him as a charismatic, internationally renowned bass and vocally conclusive artist.
Bloom is currently performing at Opéra de Paris, playing Henry Kissinger in its new production of “Nixon in China.”
The bass has played leading roles on top national and international stages, such as San Francisco Opera, Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, English National Opera, Cologne Opera, Opera Los Angeles, Australian Opera, New York Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, Garsington Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Badisches Staatstheater, Irish National Opera and New Israeli Opera, among others.
