
Barocco Europeo Announce Competition for ‘Le Donne Vendicate’
By Francisco SalazarBarocco Europeo has announced the launch of the international auditions for Niccolò Piccinni’s opera giocosa “Le donne vendicate.”
The international open call will be young opera singers of all nationalities to perform principal roles in Niccolò Piccinni’s opera and the competition is open to singers born after Jan. 1, 1994.
The selection process will take place in two stages: an initial video round, followed by live final auditions in Sacile (Italy) on June 23, 2026. Finalists will perform before a distinguished panel of internationally acclaimed performers, directors, conductors, and industry professionals.
The winners will be able to participate in the full production of the opera, including rehearsals, video recording, and performances scheduled for September 2026 across Sacile, Gorizia, and Trieste.
The opera will be staged on Sept. 17, 2026 at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste (Italy) as part of both the Femart – Festival di Musica Antica e Arti, presented by Barocco Europeo, and the Il Faro della Musica Festival, organised by the Società dei Concerti di Trieste.
