Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe Announces 2023-24 Season

Verdi’s “Nabucco” will get a new production by Thaddeus Strassberger. Yura Yang conducts.
Premiere Date: Oct. 21, 2023
Strauss’ “Die schweigsame Frau” will be conducted by Georg Fritzsch and directed by Mariame Clément.
Premiere Date: Dec. 19, 2023
Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” will be directed by Nilufar K.Münzing and conducted by Johannes Willig.
Premiere Date: Jan. 20, 2024
Händel’s rarely performed “Siroe, Re di Persia” will be directed by Ulrich Peters and directed by Attilio Cremonesi. The production will star Armin Kolarczyk, Rafał Tomkiewicz, Sophie Junker, Shira Patchornik, Filippo Mineccia, and Oğulcan Yilmaz

The kinderoper “Schaf” will be presented in a production by Anja Kühnhold and directed by Jan Arvid Prée.

Wagner’s “Tannhäuser” will be directed by Vera Nemirova and conducted by Georg Fritzsch.

Johannes Willig conducts Zemlinsky’s “Der Kreidekreis” in a production by Sebastian Ritsche.

Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” will be presented with Andreas Spering leading the production.
